Grosbeaks Appear in Anderson , SC

We live in Anderson SC in a well forested neighborhood. Our feeders are located on our back deck. Our feeders are attracting cardinals, blue birds; finches, chickadees, house wrens and several varieties of woodpeckers.


We had been away in April and upon returning early May spotted our new guests. We had two pair of Grosbeaks stay with us for a little over a week.

They ate primarily our black oil sunflower seeds appearing often throughout each day. They were very comfortable in our yard. We believe they departed around the 10th of May.

    A relative went to HB class. They found it is safe and more effective to use 2 water to 1 sugar. I use 4 cups of boiling water into 2 cups sugar.
