grosbeak at my feeder

by Andrea
(Boston, MA USA)

I have a platform feeder about 5 1/2 feet off the ground. I feed black oil sunflower seeds and pure suet year round. Over the last week, I have discovered a Grosbeak at my feeder. He isn't shy and will feed while I am 20 feet away. At first I thought it was a woodpecker by the second time I saw him, I realized what it was. I am very excited to have him and I hope that he brings his family to feed at my feeder. I hope it becomes a regular Spring/Summer feeding place. I live in the NorthEast, 20 miles outside of Boston Mass.
I hope to get a picture of him soon.
