Grey Medium Bird, seen in Anchorage, Alaska, Sept,. 2014

This is a medium grey color, medium size bird, approx. 8" - 10" tall. It had a white breast with horizontal black stripes on the breast. It's head was black and white.
CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT KIND OF BIRD THIS IS????????
I saw it in September, 2014 in ANCHORAGE, ALASKA...
