My bird is slate gray and has a speckled body. I know because I have sparrows and I think think they might have poked his eyes out.

Might be a grackle

It might be a bit small for a crow. Check out the grackle family. Looks a lot like the ones that eat more than the squirrels here in NC. lol

hi, I'm pretty sure that is a Common American Crow, it's upright stance, the positioning of the feet, the length of the tail, black beak, etc. They are persistent, they stick around when they've found a good food source.
