The Bird is a Sparrow Hawk
by: Anonymous

This bird has now been identified as a male sparrowhawk by Mark Speck from The Nottingham Wildlife Trust. This bird had a very orange face but Mark told me what to look at and sure enough, it was the bird I saw.

Thanks Mark

Hi,

Before you leave this site be sure to enter your email again so you can be notified if you wish.

There may be other people who answer questions on this site but the only people I know of are from the states. If no one can give you an answer I have included a link for you to contact Nottinghamshire Birdwatchers. I think they will be better able to give you a correct ID.

If you have the time, let us know what your bird is. We'd love to know

Brook
