Great surprise!

I live in NW Indiana and I have been using a black oil sunflower feeder for several years. I usually see Nuthatches, Cardinals and Finches but his morning (4/30/13) I saw a male Red-breasted Grosbeak for the first time. Luckily I was able to use this site to identify it. A truly beautiful sight.

I am in Indianapolis & having a similar situtation. 2 days ago saw the male under the feeder. Just now he came & was on the feeder for about 5 min then flew to the bird bath & drank.
I am wondering if the female came I would even know it. I have to check out how she looks. At any rate it is great to see such a beautiful bird.
