Gray bird

by L. Eckley
(Monroe, Washington)

Unfortunately I was not quick enough to get a pic but this bird was about the size of a flicker. Has a gray body with orange feet and beak, and what appeared to be a white ring around its neck. I spotted them at my feeders and have never seen one around here before. I live in the Everett area of Washington state.
