Description matches that of a cat bird.

Usually slate gray upper body and black cap on top of head with rusty colored patch under the tail.

Cat bird also has a mew like call similar to a cat.

Is also a cousin to the Mockingbird.

Cat birds also enjoy some fruit and mealworms as part of their diet and will frequent oriole feeders that offer grape jelly.
