Head view
I live in Tidewater, VA on a waterway subsidiary of the Chesapeake Bay. This bird was found at the back of my yard, 20 ft. from the canal on 10-13-2013. The head is a taupe color, while the chest is speckled. The wing span is yellow, underneath with yellow markings on tail. An absolute gorgeous bird, who unfortunately did not make the migration. :-(
