Found Hatchlings

My brother-in-law found four tiny birds in a nest in his satellite dish when he was moving. They have no feathers, but around their eyes is dark grey and there seems to be a small line of grey down their backs. Any idea what kind of bird it may be?

Unfortunately there are a multitude of hatchlings that resemble that definition.
