Flicker in Colorado

by Danielle
(Colorado Springs CO )

Finishing up dishes on a Sunday afternoon and spotted a female flicker looking for ants at the roots of the tree in my backyard. It then searched from tree to tree. I didn't know what it was, so googled the description. Beautiful bird and pattern! Unfortunately, none of my pictures came out clearly.
