First sighting

I had a male and a female Rose Breasted Grosbeak show up at my feeder. The female I thought was a female house finch. The male I thought was a variety of finch, or perhaps someone's escaped pet.

The male spent about ten minutes at the feeder, munching BLack oil sunflower seeds. I could hear him popping the shells from where I was sitting. The male is such a pretty bird, I was dying to know what he was, but I didn't want to scare him off by picking up my phone.

I had been hearing their song for a few days, now I know where it was coming from. Very excited to see them both!
