Finch?

This bird uses our feeder and brings his mate along with him. Does anyone know what kind of bird this is? It has an orange throat and crown/cap and a streaky chest of brown against a whitish gray background. He sings non-stop, even while eating!

I believe this bird is the common House Finch. They are usually a rosy red color but can also be more orange or even a golden yellow. I have seen orange ones at my feeder.

    A relative went to HB class. They found it is safe and more effective to use 2 water to 1 sugar. I use 4 cups of boiling water into 2 cups sugar.
