White bird with black and white wings

by Mark F.
(Warner Robins, GA)

My wife and I have never seen a bird lik this before. We live in Warner Robins, GA. This bird was about the size of a Cardinal and its beak looked like a Cardinal's except it was almost white in color. The bird's body and head were a brilliant cotton white with wings that were a mixture of black and white feathers. It kind of looked like a black and white warbler, but the beak was all wrong. Any ideas?

The answer lies in the beak. Without a photo, I would suggest maybe you saw a female grosbeak. From other visitors to this site, they are currently migrating north right now, through your state.
