Finch Sighting

My wife and I live in Central Ohio (North of Columbus about 50 miles). We have had finches visiting all winter...they love the sock menu:) We also have several bird feeders hanging nearby using "Kaytee Sunflower Hearts & Chips" which they love. Usually, they arrive in clusters of 7-8 birds.

Well the finches returned yesterday, 2 gold males, so now my sock feeder will soon have the 10 to 14 finches on it, just like last year!!!!!!

No Finches Yet in Ohio

Finches are here but it's been pretty quiet around the feeder. I'm in North Carolina and it's about time for all the birds to start nesting. It will get busy again soon. They are beginning to show back up over the last week. They are here really early in the morning, again around 3 and then again around 6 for their dinner.Just keep up your socks, feeders and water and be patient. Happy birding!
