Doves on the porch

This year Mourning Doves have been

nesting on my porch. They seem to
be use to me because I have to walk
a foot from their nest everyday. Curiously
There hasn't been an egg in there yet.
What is going on?

    I buy the woodpecker suet at Marsh Grocery store. It used to last a long time until the Pileated Woodpecker came along. Now I am buying it pretty often.
