Dove

by Sarah

Hello,

My cat killed a dove yesterday and it appears that the doves partner is waiting outside for it to return, is this what's happening? It's very upsetting to witness and obviously more upsetting for the dove who is waiting. Thank you. Sarah

Hawks too
by: Joseph the Gardener

When I feed the little wrens or whatever they are, (little brown birds) they spill some of the millet on the ground from the feeders and the pigeons or doves who feed normally on the ground are often easy prey for the hawks in the area. The tell tale signs of the kill are feathers everwhere, so as it is in the jungle or the food chain. The hawks sometimes will do this every day for awhile and then move on it seems.
