Robin size. same colors but darker, dark yellow beak but eats seed and suet out of feeder. never saw it before this year.

Hi Dot, I'm afraid we need a more specific description to ID the bird. Are there other markings on it? What kind of beak/bill? What colors?

Are you saying it has a reddish orange breast only darker? Or is it possibly a starling?
