dont even think about taking my squirrel

by JERRY HALE

I WAS DRIVING ON A DIRT ROAD IN GA. WHEN I SAW A HAWK IN THE ROAD AHEAD.I STOPPED,GOT OUT OF THE CAR,WALKED UP TO THE HAWK.I THOUGHT IT WOULD FLY AWAY BUT IT DID NOT MOVE.I NOTICED IT HAD ITS TALONS DEEP INTO A SQUIRREL. I GOT WITHIN ONE FOOT OF THE HAWKS EYES, THATS WHEN I KNEW IT WAS SAYING TO ME, DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT TRYING TO GET MY SQUIRREL. I DROVE AROUND THE HAWK, WENT TO MY CAMPER. I DECIDED I WOULD GO BACK DOWN THE ROAD TO SEE IF THE HAWK WAS STILL THERE,NEEDLESS TO SAY IT WAS GONE WITH ITS PREY. MY BIGGEST PROBLEM ,I DID NOT HAVE MY CAMERA TO RECORD THIS AMAZING SIGHT. NOW I KNOW TO HAVE A CAMERA WITH ME AT ALL TIMES. BIRDS ARE FASCINATING CREATURES JERRY HALE
