Dark red wings and tail with a grayish body

(indiana)

It has a dark red tail and wings. The rest of its body is grayish. It's Chest was a golden brown/yellowish color. I think it's head was black and had some white specks and it had a Mohawk the same color as its wings. It's beak was bright orange and it's eyes were reddish too. My dog hurt one and I wanted to know if there was anything we could do:(

You should take the bird to a local VCA animal hospital that will treat it for free or take it to your local Audubon Society. If it is injured the best you can do without seeking outside help is to keep it in a warm, dark, quiet room in a box with a towel and hope for the best. Be sure it has water.
