Hi, yes, it is a female flicker and possibly if it is small it could be a juvenile born this year. She may be searching for ants but she will also like you very much if you would give her some suet.

    A relative went to HB class. They found it is safe and more effective to use 2 water to 1 sugar. I use 4 cups of boiling water into 2 cups sugar.
