i have seen a small all black bird in my yard for the last few days.

i am an avid birder but i can't figure out what kind of bird it is.

i thought it might be a cow bird but it does not have any brown on it's head.could a brown headed cow bird not have a brown head?

it has been eating seed on the ground under my feeder with the other birds. there are no other cow birds around right now.

i have not been able to get a picture but again
it is small and roundish, about the size of a sparrow, slightly larger, ALL BLACK with a short black bill.
