Had filled my bird feeder with wild bird food and decided to put some food on the deck since the Cardinals are unable to get to the food in the squirrel resistent feeder. Wasn't long and a male Cardinal showed up to eat and was feeding its baby.

Found pecking at the ground. What stood out the most was its white beak with a horizontAL stripe of yellow. Its body was black and white flecks.

We moved last year from Nashville to 20 miles west of the city. Was delighted to have 3 rose breasted grosbeaks at our feeder the other day (Apr 20, 2018)

The bird I saw perched on a bush branch, facing the walking path is small to very small. Whitish gray belly with pronounced u-shaped reddish breast. I
