California visitor

We have a visitor to our yard that I have never seen, my guess is he or she is migrating. A bit smaller than our orioles, body is mostly tan with a beautiful balck tuft and red around the rump. He I am guessing has a beautiful song much like that of a Robin. I have not seen this bird on the ground but in our oak trees. My guess is that he will not be here for long. I live in an area with lots of oaks near the base of the mountains in Southern California.
