Bullock’s Oriole - Male

We have a nesting pair of Bullock’s Orioles in our palm tree. They guard the nest fiercely from crows, other birds, the squirrels who come to be fed, my cats wandering far, far below and from me when I go to water my garden! The tree is next to our deck and they land on the umbrella and fuss at all of us! My little grandson with the eagle eyes was first to spot the male and we’ve had fun watching them returning to their nest with food for the babies. I hope I get to see the babies fledge.
