Brown ducks with white fronts

by Paul

In 1994 I photographed a pair of ducks. After searching my bird books I failed to id them. They were brown with white throats. The females white went down further into the breast.

The only duck that I can find that has some resemblance is the Fulvous Whistling Duck.
Hopefully are readers can help.

I have seen a duck like this in our pond. I have failed to identify it as well.
