A bird has been frequenting my feeders that has a speckled brown body and a wide bright red stripe from the top of his head to his neck. I thought he might be a flicker, but the photos I find on-line show flickers with less red on their heads than my bird has. I believe he's in the woodpecker family, and he makes lots of noise when he's at the feeder - a loud single tone over and over. I live in southwest Wisconsin. Any ideas?
