Bright yellow and orange birds

Western Tanager

I live in Portland, Oregon and I have been seeing a pair of yellow and orange birds that look like a tropical parakeet or something. Anyone know what they could be?

that's not it. this beauty is all yellow with a black beak and it's mate is the same shape with no yellow at all

In lase t several weeks I have seen these birds (4)and they are drinking from my hummingbird feeder. They have beaks that are longer than normal birds. They are beautiful. I live in Apple Valley, CA

I live north of Toronto and have seen what I thought was someones Parrot also at my feeder!!! Trying to get a picture but they fly before i can. I have set out some oranges in a recycled clear container on my pole as I also believe I have Baltimore Orioles. But I'm pretty sure the parrot looking bird is different. Much bigger and looks like a cow bird but in orange!!. My mom thinks they are Tanangers. I'm so thrilled and scout out for them early in the a.m. at my feeder

Yes they are summer tanagers! They look a lot like the one you posted except they only have a tiny bit of black on the tip of their wings but are mainly bright yellow with orange on their head. Thank you so much, I discovered tanagers yesterday, it seems like they aren't a typical bird to see in the NW, wonder why they are here, but I'm glad they are!

Susan, my husband saw a Western Tanager here, too, last week. I have never seen one before. We live 25 miles south of Seattle.
