Black Headed Sparrow

by Tad
(San Francisco)

We have a pair of what I believe are Sparrows in our yard. The male has a pure blcak head with a yellow beak. Both birds are brown in the body. I think they are sparrows but all the pictures I could find on the internet were of sparrows with white stripes on the head.
