Black bird that looks like a toucan but MUCH bigger.

by Shi Ayn Ng
(Singapore)

I saw this bird a few years ago and tried googling immediately after it flew away and have done so a couple more times over the years. It was not over 5 years ago.

It was about a head taller than a penguin, looks like a toucan but with full black feathers and beak. It has ruby red eyes with black surrounding it. Simply put, it is COMPLETELY BLACK with red eyes. Its beak is huge and about 60-80cm?

I tried to take a photo of it but I think it noticed me and flew away. So there are no photo evidence but I am very sure I saw it.

I saw this bird outside of my window on this small platform near the wall, the sides to the door of the lift. It was spotted in Singapore, around the North.

Google does not show me any sightings of such a bird but my curiosity is killing me to know if I actually did find an unknown specie of bird that has yet to be discovered.
