Black Bird (looks like large parakeet)

by Kevin Teter
(Greensburg,IN)

I live In Indiana now, and have seen small flocks of these birds that are all black and look like large parakeets.

Was talking to a friend about them and was unable to find any info on them. They go south to Florida and as far north as Indiana, and if I'm not mistaken are native birds. Has been quite a while since I've seen one,and info about them. Sorry no pics. I have relocated here in southern Indiana after 20yrs in Colorado.
