Birds on farm

I live close to a wetland. In the rocks close to the house i see two birds. I think they are plovers. Long yellow legs prominent grey spots on body. Lighter grey under body tip of beck black. i would like to identify them. Cant get close enough for a good picture as they run. They look like they are each sitting on separate nests and seem to be happy there.
