bird wintering in glendale, CA

Searching through my balcony of plants was a small(about the same size as the wren also in my planters)grey, white and yellow bird-a little brush stroke of yellow on top of its head,on the sides and on the underbelly...I also heard tiny little peeps....no time to take a picture...It did not have a long flicking tail like the wren...I wonder what sweet little bird it was?

    Tourquoise bird, cardinal size and similar wing pattern and has a beige beak. Except for the beak color, looks like a Indigo Bunting. Is this a juvie??
