Has a fairly long semi-rounded beak, large eyes, and I would guess 12-18 inches from beak to tailfeather. Located in Middle Tennessee.

How exciting! There are many sites you can visit to find more information on Wood Ducks. I would encourage you to do so and discover what they eat when the young leave the nest etc.. when they leave the young leave the nest they jump and it the most absolutist adorable thing.

Nesting Duck

This is a female Wood Duck sitting on her eggs. The male is quite pretty. They have a crest on their head that lies flat.

    It is grey with a long beak and a white ring around it's neck. The bird is about the size of a dove and I live in Florida near the Georgia line.
