Bird keeps knocking, but we haven't let it in . . .

Awesome Tail Feathers Here's Looking at You, Kid Here I Come. I want in sooo bad

Recently we have had a bird come to our windows and will make two short chirps - cheep cheep. Then will knock with it's beak on the windows especially the East and South facing windows. It is brown and grey with some black and has a white breast and belly with a wide fan of tail feathers that are white left and right with black in the center. Just wondering what it was and why it wants in so bad.

Reflection?

Sometimes, the birds see their reflections and think another bird is in front of them? I have a titmouse though that knocks on the window when the feeder is empty!
