Bird in Pool
One day my family returned from an outing to find a mourning dove flopping in our pool while a cat was tracking it around the pool. We quickly got the pool skimmer and fished the bird out. The bird was extremely fatigued and breathing very fast. It looked a little dazed. We took it in the garage with food and water to allow it to rest. The next morning the bird was alive and we placed it on the fence, however, it would not fly. We then used a window screen to move up and down with the bird on the screen. The bird would flap it's wings but not fly. We placed food and water nearby. About 1/2 hour later after eating, the bird took off and flew to the wooded area.
