This bird looks like a sparrow, but it has a bright red top on it's head. Have seen several hro the yers, but the first time I seen it this year. The red "cap" looks brighter this year! Any idea what it is? I live in Rock Springs, Wyoming.

Didn't get a pic of it.

It is likely a Ruby-crowned Kinglet. They are as energetic as wrens, restless as warblers, and perpetually looking for insect food. They have a pretty trick of lifting and flitting their wings every little while. In the spring, his love song is surprisingly strong in proportion to his size.
