I live in Davison, Michigan and have been here for 40 years and never had a red breasted grosbeak at our feeders. They are beautiful. It is now June 12th the male and female are still here. There are more than one pair and if 2 or more females show up only one stays. Its fun to watch. They wouldn't survive our Michigan winters. I can walk out on my deck and they just eat their sunflowers seeds they seem so tame.
This is the first year we bought a sunflower seed feeder which is like a hour glass and that's why they probably stopped here. I love your site.
