Beautiful Cute Chirp

I live in California, it is noon on a cold cloudy day. I was in the other room and heard a beautiful chirp I had never heard before. I saw a medium brown bird on the line, with I think orange or red breast and it would chirp, chirp, and then seven continuous chirps. It was such a beautiful sound, I have never heard it before and I have lived here 50 years. Do you know what kind it could be? I did not get a picture of it.

Sounds like a robin. We have the same thing in the south and they also have a beautiful chirp. Any pics??
