Back yard feeder

by Kathy
(southern indiana)

I had not seen the pileated for 2 years. Then, one appeared on my old crab apple tree and then visited a large columnar feeder, filled with black sunflower seed. I then put up a suet feeder, which they liked. I have not not seen for several days. I put out a heated water source, on the ground, which only the mourning doves seem to like.
