Baby brown bird found in Polk County, Florida

by Jered
(Lakeland, Fl, USA)

Our cat brought us this brown baby bird. It seems to have a pretty large beak, wingspan and large feet. We have a feeling that it is some kind of predator bird but we are not sure. We tried to see if it will call to it's mother, but all we got was one little peep out of it. If anyone can identify it, we would really appreciate it.
