Ann

I was just outside on my patio and saw the doves had come back to the same Ficus tree they nested in last year to start over again. Daddy dove had a twig in his mouth. Am truly amazed. How would they know to come back to the same tree a year later. Would love someone tell me the answer.

Ah, Ann there in lies the mystery. How and why do birds know where to migrate south each year, after nesting? And how do young birds -who often migrate after their parents - know where to go?
Birds have another sense that is not available to humans. Happy Birding!
