I live in southeastern Ohio. A stack of flat rocks about two feet tall stands about 30 feet from my kitchen window. Every morning I pour about 1/2 cup of regular sunflower seeds onto the large flat rock on top. On May 23 of this year (in one sighting) I counted 11 male American Goldfinch, and about half as many females. Much of the area nearby is overgrown with shrubs and with vine clusters high in the surrounding trees.

How lucky you are to see so many. I only see a a couple once a year here. They are so beautiful!
