Amazing beautiful, peaceful, white bird.

by P
(Plano, Texas)

This large white "dove kind of" bird (easily 2-3 times the size of my turtle doves) landed on my patio rug by my slider door. We watched this bird sit there for 45 + minutes. It actually got comfortable - roosted if you will -- & sat on its belly. I have never seen a dove that large. I believe it was even larger than a pigeon, but it sat on my rug & watched me & my 2 dogs watch it for over 45 minutes. It was solid white with an orage short beek and orange feet (non-webbed). It went between the wrought iron railings & flew downwards. I ran out the door to see where it went, but it just disappeared & I have never seen it since. It was an awesome moment for me because of the way the bird "was". What kind of bird is it?
Thanks P in Plano
