Lesser Goldfinches

I have a thistle sock and the string to hang it broke. So I put it on my patio table. I put a plate under it so the seed won't spill. (There was pretty good weather that week). I just left it there. I thought it would be okay. I was going to fix it the next day. The next day I saw three goldfinches on the sock, on the table! Two days later, there were eight to nine goldfinches on the sock at the same time! (I don't have a picture of all nine birds on the sock). I never knew that the finches would actually go on the table to the sock.
