A pair of purple finch's take 1-26 12

I sat on my deck yesterday and saw this cute pair of purple finch's. It was a good day of taking pictures as I was able to photo a yellow bellied sapsucker,a red bellied woodpecker and got great shots of male and female cardinals. I will post those photos as well. I love my backyard birds!!!

Lovely bird photos

I really enjoyed looking at your bird photos. The cardinals are beautiful. I wish we had them in the Pacific Northwest. I have a Red-breasted Sapsucker. My Ash tree is riddled with his holes. I used to see a lot of Purple finches and House finches every year. But this winter I haven't seen any. However, we have had flocks of little Bushtits this past 3-4 winters. Before then I had never seen one. It's strange how the patterns change

    Small dusky or dark gray bird, 3 to 4 inches, with a fan shaped tail. The tail had 2 yellow triangle markings, which were about 3/4 to 1 inch each.
