I am from central alabama and this afternoon i saw my first rose breasted grosbeak. he was at my feeder for quite some time eating common Pennington seed mixture.i have been a bird watcher all my life and have never seen a grosbeak in this area. i'm assuming he was just passing through heading north.it was a real thrill.
